I have
looked at
juicers,
decided to
go for the
Green Star,
then,
thought I
might want
to see IF I
would
actually
juice
regularly. I
was given
the LaLanne
for Mother's
Day. I use
mine 2 or 3
times a day,
usually, and
clean up is
a breeze, in
the sink or
dishwasher.
And, I was
worried
about tons
of pulp-not
so. I have a
couple of
tablespoons
from 12
ounces of
juice. I
think the
investment
of time and
produce is
worth it. A
glass of
juice is
better than
coffee for a
pick-me-up.
The motor
seems
powerful,
too. I don't
know how
long it will
last, but I
am
completely
satisfied.
It's just so
easy and
economical
to use! And-I
love the
flavor and
the health
benefits.
Don't wait-buy
this juicer.
It's a good
investment.
I have owned
this juicer
for over one
year now,
and when I
first got it
I juiced at
least 2-3
times a day
for four
months. I
was juicing
to correct a
health
problem
which was
completely
reversed all
thanks to
this
wonderful
juicer. I
have used
this juicer
to juice
just about
everything
you can
imagine, and
in high
quantities,
pineapple,
coconut,
even
strawberries.
Although the
instructions
say that
soft things
cannot be
juiced, just
as
strawberries
I had no
problem at
all as long
as I put a
few
strawberries
in, then
half an
apple, then
more
strawberries,
etc. The
problem with
the softer
fruits and
veggies (greens)
is that they
turn to mush
and need
something to
continue to
push past in
in the blade
such as an
apple or a
carrot. If
you juice
things such
as coconuts
(wonderful!)
just be sure
to first
husk it,
pull out the
meat only,
and then
know that it
will wear
your blade
down sooner
than if you
just juice
simple
things like
apples and
carrots.
There is a
replacement
blade kit
that can be
purchased
from the
manufacturer
for around
$15 which
will keep
your juicer
in tip top
shape
leaving you
with only
dry pulp.
Clean up IS
easy as long
as you clean
up within 5
minutes of
juicing.
Since fruits
and veggies
have natural
sugars they
will dry and
stick to
your juicer
if not
cleaned
right away.
Also, the
carrots will
stain it a
bit but that
just shows
that you are
using your
juicer
rather than
letting it
sit on your
countertop
unused! By
all means,
try this
juicer as I
have used
this juicer
to produce
over 7000
ounces of
juice and am
just now
needing to
replace the
blade with a
new, sharper
blade for
maximum
juice
extraction.
You will
love the
flavor and
health
benefits of
fresh juice,
which was
something
completely
new and
wonderful
that I
experienced
thanks to
the Jack
LaLanne
Power Juicer!
I just
bought my
juicer today,
and I
couldn't be
more pleased!
So far, it's
working
great. The
juice is so
tasty, and I
can't wait
for the
healthy
results! It
is also
extremely
easy to
disassemble
and clean.
The only
drawback
that I've
found so far
is the noise.
I read lots
of reviews
prior to
purchase,
and I am
finding out
that it's
not as quiet
as others
have said it
was. Other
than that, I
love it!!
Then it
falls apart!
Ive had this
machine for
about a
month. At
first, lots
of juice and
pulp
extraction
was pretty
good. Two
grapefruits
produce
about 12-16
ounces of
juice.
However,
after about
a month of
daily use
the plastic
wheel
supporting
the blade
cracked on
me, making
the machine
useless.
Also, while
easy to
disassemble
and clean it
leaves tons
of wet pulp
with citrus
fruits. You
can run
through
twice to get
a little
more juice
and maximise
usage but it
seems like a
waste of
time. All in
all, Id
invest in a
stainless
steel model
next time
around...
This juicer
is good for
a for a
first time
juicer. It
is easy to
assemble and
fairly easy
to wash if
you wash it
right after
juicing.
However, the
juice
spatters out
of the spout
quite a
distance,
making it
messy on the
counter.
Although the
pulp in the
container
appears to
be dry,
there is
quite a bit
of pulp in
the juice
and I am
starting to
strain it
after
juicing
before
drinking.
sometimes
chunks of
carrots or
parts of
apple seed
will get
into the
juice. the
plastic gets
quite
stained from
juicing
carrots, but
using baking
soda to
clean it
helps
somewhat.
Also, the
pulp gets
hung up on a
little
plastic
guide on
it's way to
the bin,
which stop
it up and
doesn't
allow the
pulp to
deposit
freely into
the bin. I
will
continue to
use it until
I can afford
to get a
better one.
A good
choice,
though, for
someone who
is new to
juicing and
doesn't have
the funds to
get the
best.
